PawRx is a pet medication tracker built with Apple-only frameworks. Your pet's data lives on your device and, if you turn it on, in your private iCloud account. We never see it.
The app saves the information you enter — pet profiles, medications, dose logs, weight history, vet contacts and health journal notes — using Apple's SwiftData framework. By default this stays on your device.
If you sign into iCloud, SwiftData mirrors that data to the iCloud.com.pawrx.app private database in your iCloud account so it's available across your iPhone and iPad. Apple cannot read it. Neither can we.
If you grant permission, the camera is used only for live prescription-label scanning. Recognised text is captured on-device by Apple's VisionKit and parsed by Apple's on-device Foundation Model. Nothing is uploaded.
Pet photos you choose from your library stay on the device (and in your iCloud, if enabled).
Dose reminders are scheduled locally with the iOS notification system. They never leave your device and don't involve any push-notification servers.
Premium subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple's StoreKit. We never receive your payment details. StoreKit returns a signed receipt, which we use only to unlock premium features locally.
PawRx is rated 4+ and tracks pet medication only. We don't knowingly collect data from children.
If this policy changes, the effective date at the top will move and the in-app link will point to the latest version.
